HI dAVE, just wandering through Illustration Friday's Detach topic; i think your image captures the brief very succinctly.
Looking at your other work posted on your fridge, it seems like your pen and ink images have more vitality than the acrylic paintings? You have a real skill depicting character and anatomy, i would do more of these kind of images if i were you!

Jess, thanks for your comments. I think my paintings are more static than my drawings, too. That is probably because I have been cartooning and drawing for most of my life, but painting is a more recent pursuit. I'm still going to pursue it though. By the way, your website has some great pieces.
My first drawing for illustrationfriday.com. The theme this week is "detach". Pen and Ink with lamp black watercolor wash and drybrush.
